Dynamic modelling of a servo self-pierce riveting (SPR) process

چکیده
Self-pierce riveting (SPR) is a complex joining process where multiple layers of material are joined by creating mechanical interlock via the simultaneous deformation inserted rivet and surrounding material. Due to large number variables which influence resulting joint, finding optimum parameters has traditionally posed challenge in design process. Furthermore, there gap knowledge regarding how changes made system may affect produced joint. In this paper, new system-level model an inertia-based SPR proposed, consisting physics-based machine empirically-derived Model predictions validated against extensive experimental data for sets input conditions, defined setting velocity, motor current limit support frame type. The dynamics head height joint predicted high level accuracy. Via model-based case study, identified, enable either cycle time or energy consumption be substantially reduced without compromising overall quality predictive capabilities leveraged reduce costs involved validation systems processes.

Dynamic modelling of hardness changes of aluminium nanostructure during mechanical ball milling process
In this research, the feasibility of using mathematical modelling in the ball milling process has been evaluated to verify the hardness changes of an aluminium nanostructure. Considering the model of normal force displacement (NFD), the radius of elastic-plastic and normal displacement of two balls were computed by applying analytical modelling and coding in MATLAB. Properties of balls and alum...
متن کاملA Generic Agent-based Dynamic Process Simulation Framework: a Self-adaptive Modelling Approach
Agent-based simulation (ABS) modelling had been a prevalent approach in simulating dynamic processes for a variety of domains. However, the constructed models are usually domain-specific in nature. The proprietary issue of existing modelling approaches limit the possibilities of reusing those constructed models in other application domains. Such limitation also poses issues in model extensibili...

Dynamic modelling and simulation for process
Traditionally, process engineers often face the possibility of FEED and detailed engineering designs exceeding limits due to unforeseen circumstances, for example, with complex control systems, operational philosophies and procedures. Potential problems during plant start-up, emergency shutdown and various turndown conditions may not be identified in advance due to insufficient information on p...
متن کاملDynamic Business Process Modelling (bpm) for Business Process Change
The high failure rates of many business process change deployments are attributed to the inability to predict the outcome of the exercise without actually implementing the change in the physical environment. This restriction could be a result of over 80% of business process change projects adopting a static modelling technique in order to model their business processes. Static modelling enables...
